Polished plasters, aged & cracked plaster finishes will be featured, also finishes with powder pigments, metallic waxes, glazes, etc.  Prerequisites: It is recommended that students be experienced finishers.  Call Laura at 949-584-1917 to discuss experience level.   Class & Supply Fee: new fee schedule coming                   Quick & Easy Decorative Wall Finishes Workshop I –  In this hands-on workshop, learn how to apply beautiful finishes that create a soft, warm ambiance in your home.  These finishes become the backdrop to a variety of decorating styles, from contemporary to old world.  Start with the basics needed to prepare for and complete your decorative finishes successfully.  Then to the fun stuff—simple single and multi-color glaze finishes, blended finishes, etc.  Learn how to use a variety of the “tools of the trade” to make to job easier.  The result—gorgeous finishes that will enhance your home!  Bring your enthusiasm to learn and create—we will supply everything else!   Class Fee/Deposit $30.00         Supply Fee of $35.00 is paid to the Instructor the day of class.                 Introduction to Decorative Concrete Finishes Workshop - This all-day hands-on, information-packed, get messy workshop starts where the Lecture (see Lecture/Demo description below) ends…Working with Skimstone decorative concrete overlay materials, students will complete samples of stone, tile and a unique tile with a beautiful inlaid pattern.  Skimstone can be applied over concrete, fireplace facades, tile or formica countertops and more!  Students will receive detailed written instruction in addition to the beautiful sample boards they will complete to take home with them.  Lunch is included!     Class Fee/Deposit: $50.00          Supply Fee of $95.00 is paid to Instructor the day of class.                 That’s Stencilled? Workshop I - Learn how to use a variety of techniques to create beautiful “hand painted” accents in your home using metallic paints, glaze/paint, etc. Students will also learn one of the strongest decorating trends—textured or “raised” stenciling.  Each of the techniques learned in this workshop enhance both walls and furniture alike.  Students will use the studio’s stencils, paints, brushes, etc. in class.    Class Fee/Deposit: $20.00          Supply Fee of $25.00 is paid to Instructor the day of class.                 Finish it! Furniture Workshop I - Learn the tricks of the trade to create the furniture and decorator pieces you see in magazines, home décor catalogs and decorative furnishings stores, including the “old world” look! Learn how to prepare the surface and finish samples on pieces of wood molding using various distressing, crackling, antiquing, and staining techniques to create some really great finishes.   Class Fee/Deposit:  $40.00          Supply Fee of $40.00 is paid to the Instructor the day of class.                 Finish it! Furniture Workshop II  - Do you love the look of natural wood moulding—cherry, mahogany, pine and/or oak? Learn simple glazing and brushing techniques to “fool the eye” using primed MDF moulding.    Class Fee/Deposit:  $40.00          Supply Fee of $40.00 is paid to the Instructor the day of class.                 ”Clouded Sky” Workshop I - Learn new techniques to create beautiful blue skies full of soft, billowy clouds.  The workshop combines lecture/demonstration and hands-on practice.  These techniques are great for wall murals and creating beautiful ceilings.  Great for children’s rooms, recessed ceilings, etc!   Class Fee/Deposit: $40.00         Supply Fee of $40.00  is paid to the Instructor the day of class.                 NEW!!!  Plaster It!  Intro to Decorative Plaster and Metallic Plaster Finishes All Day Workshop – These decorator finishes add beauty and a richness to any room!  Students will complete gorgeous sample boards using  venetian, "crusty" old world, and elegant metallic plaster finishes. using multi-layered application processes.  Lunch is included.  A very energizing and creative day!   Quick & Easy Wall Finishes Workshop or experience is highly recommended.  Call Laura for any questions.   Class Fee: $95.00           Supply Fee of $50.00 is paid to Instructor the day of class.                 Lecture/Demonstration             Introduction Lecture/Demonstration of Skimstone Decorative Concrete Overlay Finishes -- This is a trendy and economical way to create gorgeous surfaces over existing concrete floors/patios (interior and exterior) and Formica countertops! This class is intended to be an introductory demonstration and discussion of the use and layered application process of decorative concrete.  Students will receive written instruction.     Class Fee: $50.00           Supply Fee of $10.00 is paid to Instructor the day of class.               Project Classes   The Art of Decoupage  - Design and create your vase using a variety of designs.  The finshed pieces are absolutely gorgeous and look hand painted!  "age" the piece by "china" crackling and then antiqueing to expose the beautiful crackled surface.   Class Fee/Deposit $20.00            Supply Fee of  $25.00 (vase/pot)  is paid to the instructor the day of class.      The Art of Decoupage  - This is an advanced/detailed workshop, requiring two sessions to complete.  Design and create your own custom mirror frame.  Students will compose a theme/design selecting from a variety of unique papers, etc.  Thentheywill paint a contrasting background for the collages/designs they will apply to the surface.  After completing the design, the piece will be crackled and aged to finish the beautiful, unique decorative piece.   Class Fee/Deposit $25.00            Supply Fee of  $50.00   is paid to the instructor the day of class.            Mosaic Vase or Mirror Frame - Students will have the opportunity to get really creative to complete a unique multi-demensional pice using lots of broken china, unusual glass ieces, hand painted tiles, etc.  Lots of "candy" to choose from to create your masterpiece.
