"Florals on Glass" Vintage Window Workshop
​featuring IOD transfers 

Join me for the 1st Florals on Glass workshop of the new year! A new date has been added for January 2020!

Each time we have this workshop, I am amazed at the gorgeous window everyone creates! Amazingly, each one is unique. And each session I have a new collection of vintage windows from which to choose...small and large, chippy white, green, stained and more.

The workshop fee includes a vintage window and an IOD transfer. Depending upon the size of the window, you may choose to use the entire transfer or only use a portion of the transfer and keep the remainder to create another project at home.

​There are eleven transfer options from which to choose. However, some transfers can be out-of-stock with IOD periodically. Therefore, the earlier you register, the more likely I can have your 1st choice of transfers set aside for you! Call me if you have any questions!!!

​Intro to Furniture Painting

In this new and fast moving workshop, you will create the simple clean...yet lightly distressed..layered paint finishes you see and love on Instagram and Pinterest!
You don't need to buy new furniture! Laura will show you how to renew and re-do your existing furniture easily and with confidence to fit your decor style.
After discussing basic prep instructions, everyone will paint on molding and wood pieces using Debi's DIY Paints (awesome chalk & clay paint!).
Experience how easy it is to layer paint colors, and then watch the magic as you rub back the top layer to reveal the previous stained or painted layers. Learn how to protect your beautiful painted finishes. As the final touch, see what a little bit of wax or antiquing can do to switch things up a bit...Pure awesomeness! These top notch paints have their own nuances. Experience them for yourself and then choose the paint that best fits each of your painting projects!
New!!! We will use Iron Orchid Design alphabet stamps and molds to make your paint samples into fun rustic plaques...can't let a painted wood piece go to waste...right?

​Aged, Crackled & Rustic Painted Finishes for Furniture

Add Farmhouse or Rustic charm to your home with the paint finishes you will learn and create in this workshop. The textures of these painted finishes not only look fabulous...they are great for hiding the imperfections on your furniture or thrift store finds and are sure to turn them into show stopping furniture pieces! You will learn...
-cracked and chippy layered paint finishes
-straight-off-the-side of the barn weathered grey wood finishes
- aging and distressing techniques (build on the techniques learned in the Intro workshop!) to accentuate the nooks and crannies. These products make the process so quick and easy!
NEW!!! We will use Iron Orchid Design alphabet stamps and molds to make your paint samples into fun rustic signs......How fun is that?!

Bring Your Own (BYO) Furniture Painting Day Workshop

This is your day…How much you accomplish is all up to you!  Students have finished a chair (or 2), end table, lamp base, nightstand, etc. If you are super motivated, talk to Laura about bringing a larger piece and see how much you can accomplish in a day!!! You are welcome to bring an additional piece with you to work on if there is any “wait time” you want to fill and to keep busy. Some students have brought smaller projects for an easier painting day. All of the paints and tools in Studio Primrose are available to you during the workshop to create your finish! Your painting experience, the size of your piece, and the complexity of your paint finish will all determine whether you complete your project during the workshop or if you may need to purchase the supplies to complete the project at home. Varnishing and/or waxing will need to be finished at home to give your gorgeous paint finish plenty of time to dry before the application of a protective finish.

***To maximize your workshop time, your piece should be cleaned and prepped before the workshop!
Intro to Furniture Painting is not required. If you have any questions regarding your project, Laura asks that you contact her before the workshop to discuss your furniture piece and what you would like to accomplish.
Project Ideas include: nightstand, end table, dining chairs, etc. We suggest that the size of your project piece should be approximately the size of your CARRY ON LUGGAGE SIZE! After talking with Laura, you may choose to bring a larger piece. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to finish it during the workshop time. ​
